LimeJACK on the Chemnitzer LinuxTage 2021 on Saturday, 13 March 2021 at 14:00

The LimeJACK project aims to realize complex measuring systems with simple PC components. The PC components are addressed with the Linux operating system, since Linux fits perfectly in simplicity and scalability to the basic ideas of LimeJACK. The software framework of LimeJACK is based on the Bourne-again shell also known as bash. Under LimeJACK, every used bash script has exactly ONE task, for example reading out a level meter. So each script remains uniquely evaluable. Each of these LimeJACK Bash scripts can be part of another Bash script. This way a complex system can be generated.

If real-time applications with a sample rate around 44 KHz are required, the JACK Audio Connection Kit is used. JACK accesses sound cards without latency and is perfect for applications with technical algorithms such as noise-canceling and others.

LimeJACK takes a critical look at the technologies of our time and contrasts them with technically simpler solutions. Technical solidity and conceptual transparency are the elementary ambitions of LimeJACK.
